Clarion Finance (or “Clarion Finanz” in German) Pte Ltd finds its roots in Switzerland. It started operating in 1980 as an asset management company based in Zurich. As its operation grew exponentially across the continents, Clarion Finance found its new base in Singapore—a cosmopolitan country and the business hub of Southeast Asia. With Singapore’s diverse and dynamic business culture added into the equation of Swiss’ robust work culture, Clarion Finance is well positioned to offer stable and dependable financial support to companies around the world.

Our Successes

Clarion Finance was an early investor in InterOil Corp (NYSE: IOC) which drilled the largest vertical onshore gas wells in the world and was recently sold to Exxon. Pacific LNG Operations Ltd, which was incorporated by Clarion Finance in order to hold a direct interest in the concessions in Papua New Guinea (PNG), sold its interest in the PRL-15 gas field in 2014 for USD 900 million plus further payments.

Pacific Rubiales (TSX: PRE)
had become the largest independent oil and gas exploration and production company in Colombia in just five years. The company was co-financed by Clarion Finanz AG in 2008 and the share price peaked atCAD 35 in 2010.
First Calgary Petroleums Ltd.,
a world-class gas reserves in Algeria, was later taken over by Eni. The company was initially funded at CAD 0.50 and later traded up to CAD 24.
Wheaton River Minerals
saw a successful merger in 2004 with Goldcorp (NYSE:GG/TSX:G), the third largest and one of the world’s lowest cost gold producers in North America.

Callinex Mines Inc. (TSXV:CNX)
A very successful base metals explorer with projects in the Flin Flon mining camp in Manitoba, as well as several zinc projects in Atlantic Canada. Clarion Finance and its affiliates have been shareholders since the company was spun off from Callinan Mines in 2011.
Claren Energy Corp. (TSXV)
An oil and gas exploration company with international assets. Its key focus is to redevelop low cost, high margin gas fields in Eastern Europe.
